In sheer achievement, John Donald Budge accomplished what nobody before 1938 had been able to do--he won the Grand Slam of tennis, capturing the championships of Australia, France, Wimbledon and the United States in the same year. Just a short time before that historical sweep he won these four trophies while still a rising amateur. 1) 1932- sterling silver, "Bay Counties Jr. Championship," cup (6.5"), EX+. 2) 1932- "Washington State Jr. Singles Championshhip" cup (11"), light tarnishing on reverse of cup, minor scratches on painted copper base, EX. 3) 1934-sterling silver, "Pacific Southwest Men's Doubles Tennis Championship," award (5.5"), EX-MT. 4) "Golden Gate Jr. Tennis Club" cup (8"), minor scratches on painted copper base, EX+.
