Early Cincinnati Reds Baseballs (3)
Here's a terrific triple play: three baseballs from the early days of the oldest National League franchise. First, a 1930 team-signed baseball with 15 signatures including George Kelly, the official National League baseball is VG and has been notated "Aug. 3, 1930 at Cinti. Ballpark." The signatures average 4/10. Second is a 1926 Reds team-signed official National League ball that is game-used and has some wear. We count 22 signatures, some of which are very hard to read but we can make out Rixey, Lucas, Hargrove, Critz and others. Third is an official National League baseball from the 1920s that came with the other two in the lot. It appears to be game-used with lots of wear and we can speculate that it was obtained at Cincinnati ballpark like the other two.
