Absolutely stunning image of the A’s greatest hurler shows impressive and realistic detail. Silver gelatin print sports somber background, which perfectly contrasts the white of his uniform and striped pillbox cap. The detail is amazing. The lines of stress are resplendent in his face and this is the finest image of Plank we have ever seen. 1910 vintage stamp on the verso reads, “Copyright American Press Association.” Measures 7x9”. One left bottom crease o/w EX-MT with perfect contrast.
