Exceptional Harry Houdini "El Dia" Signed Photograph

Exceptional Harry Houdini "El Dia" Signed Photograph

One of the finest Houdini signed pieces ever, offered here is a circa 1919 movie still from the fabled magician's career as a silent film actor and is signed to the Buenos Aires, Argentina newspaper "El Dias"(begun in 1884) as it was published likely for a promotion. There are intriguing verso stamps and notations including: "Do not print his signature on Page 48." There are also two 1950s ownership stamps on the reverse, including "John Springer Collection." Springer bought the El Dia archives. Houdini's signature is extremely bold but has a certain skipping to the ink. The photo itself about VG-EX.
