First World Series Game in Yankee Stadium
It was the first World Series game ever played in Yankee Stadium, and in this classic photo, star outfielder Babe Ruth is seen chatting with team owner, Col. Jacob Ruppert during the historic event. The iconic slugger went on to hit a triple in "The House That Ruth Built" though his Yankees lost to the crosstown rival Giants, 5-4. There's a crease on the corner of the 6.5" x 8.5" photo, which is otherwise EX-MT.
