Four Great Babe Ruth Photos (1) W/Hack Wilson

This lot contains a unique collection of 4 Babe Ruth photos. One is a 5 1/2 by 7 1/2” shot of the Babe making the ump’s “safe call” dated June 15 1935 with a copy of the photo which was published in a newspaper attached to the back; one is a 7 x 9” shot of Babe about to play himself in the Lou Gehrig biopic; one is an 8 x 9” of Babe in the dugout nattily dressed in a double-breasted suit, shaking hands w/Hack Wilson as the latter emerges during the 1929 World Series (Cubs vs A’s, Ruth was there as a writer). All three of these are in excellent condition. The last is of the Babe handing a bat to little Sammy Griffler, dated Aug. 21 1926 and is slightly worn with slight damage to two of the corners.
