Frank Selke and Foster Hewitt Signed Documents
Some years before his six Montreal Canadien Stanley Cup Championships, legendary hockey General Manager, Frank Selke, was the force behind the Toronto Maple Leafs, and it is his ballpoint signature on this 1938 expense sheet for Maple Leaf Garden Limited. Foster Hewitt, renowned hockey announcer for the Maple leafs, and the man who coined possibly the most famous broadcasting quote in sports history - “He shoots! He scores!”, has signed, in pencil, this expense reimbursement on Maple Leaf Garden Limited stationery, which has a Price, Waterhouse & Co. Accountants stamp, dated 1938. Both signatures are 9/10.
