George Foster's 1976 World Series Trophy.
Coveted prize from the heyday of the Big Red Machine. Ornate trophy was awarded to Leftfielder George Foster as a member of the 1976 team and was once his personal property. Foster banged out 29 homers and 121 RBIs to go with a .306 average that season, which was punctuated by the Reds' sweep of the Yankees in the fall classic (with Foster hitting .429). Marvelous memento of that triumph measures 12" high and features 24 gold flags (one for each team) surrounding a flashy baseball motif. Yankees (A.L. Champs) and Reds (N.L. and World Champs) World Series pins sit mounted on a solid black base above a circular gold nameplate which reads, "Cincinnati Reds World Champions 1976 George Foster, Leftfielder". World Series trophies awarded to players are tough to come by and those pertaining to the Big Red Machine are seldom offered for sale. EX-MT condition with magnificent potential for display.
