This gorgeous portrait brings to life the most coveted baseball card ever: Honus Wagner in his traditional T206 pose in his turn-of-the-century Pittsburg Pirates uniform. Painted for part of a series of five that depicted the inaugural Halll of Fame class (also Ruth, Cobb, Johnson and Mathewson), the limited edition of 367 prints were made and sold in sets of five. This painting in its original frame measures 21" x 25.5" and is signed R Tallon at the bottom right corner in 1981. It is in NRMT condition.
