Exceptional collection of wire and publicity photos originally from the National Pastime Baseball Museum. All are Type 1 and most have their original date stamps and/or actual news articles. Approximately 8x10": 1) Stunning dated 1941 Kansas City Monarchs silhouette is one of the classic Paige pics. 2) Satchel Paige All Stars v Dizzy Dean All Stars with the two masters warming up. Unknown image came right out of Satchel Paige's personal scrapbook. Scrapbook remnants on verso. Leland's purchased the scrapbook this came out of in the 1980s and will provide letter stating provenance upon request. 3) Date stamped 1945 Kansas City Monarchs pitcher by Brooks of Detroit Newspapers. Nice! 4) Marvelous 1941 Kansas City Monarchs head shot stamped by H. Burgert of Detroit Newspapers. 5) 1953 St. Louis Browns "killer" facial. 6) May 3, 1953, at Sportsman's Park by well known Bill Jacobellis. 7) Astounding circa 1948 Cleveland Indians with Satch in follow through. Amazing crystal clarity. 8) 1940s Cleveland Indians with mustache. 9) Out of retirement w/1958 Florida Pelicans dugout shot. 10) 1948 Cleveland Indians dugout shot with Lou Boudreau. 11) Circa 1948 Doby and Paige ready to go in Cleveland Stadium dugout. 12-14) Three different versions of the classic image Feller & Paige comparing grips on the mound. 15) Warming up as 1968 Atlanta Braves instructor. 16) 1949 Satchel presented major award at Comiskey Park by the Chicago Herald-American.
