Created circa 1934 around the time of the 1934 U.S. Tour of Japan. You see the blue sake pitchers, but never the teapot and matching ashtray. Black cat on ashtray. A black cat crossing your path in Japan is Good Luck opposed to bad luck here in the United States. Tea pitcher has a tiny chip on figural baseball glove lid. Few other minor defects otherwise Excellent. Figural baseball with raised lace on ashtray and teapot. Blue Nakamaya mark on teapot.
