Carlisle Indian School promoted baseball and other accepted American sports of the day, and this is an actual photo postcard of a baseball game from the year Jim Thorpe first arrived at Carlisle, though we are unsure if he is pictured as part of the team. It reads "Base Ball Game of June 08, '07 Academy and Carlisle Indians, Mercersburg, PA." The postmark and flag stamp actually go through the postcard lightly to the image. Overall condition is EX.
