Exceptional quality in this vintage, first generation photograph (8x10”) of Jim Thorpe, the only American athlete to excel in three major sports on the professional level (football, baseball, T & F). Thorpe played for New York teams in both baseball and football. Here he is shown at practice for the NY Giants swinging a baseball bat. Back is stamped with “Greeley Photo Service 154 Nassau Street, New York City, NY”. Tiny tear to left edge. Slight crease to the lower right hand corner, overall EX.
