Joe Louis vs. Joe Walcott I and II Full Tickets (2)
Joe Louis and Jersey Joe Walcott fought twice with Louis’ World Heavyweight Title at stake. On December 5, 1947 the two squared off at Madison Square Garden and Louis was awarded a controversial 15 round decision. Because of the controversy they fought again, this time at Yankee Stadium on June 25, 1948. This time Louis stopped Walcott in the 12th round. Presented here are scarce full, unused tickets from both events. Both tickets are in excellent condition with no creases, slightly rounded corners and clean fronts. The 1948 illustrated ticket has slight glue damage on the reverse.
