Late 1920s E.S. Barnard Official American League Baseball With Box

Late 1920s E.S. Barnard Official American League Baseball With Box

Ernest Sargent Barnard served as president of the American League from 1927 until his death in 1931, and this baseball features his "E.S. Barnard" facsimile signature on a side panel. The stampings are very strong and the ball is unused and in EX-MT condition. It is housed in its original box, which is complete but has some creases and tears. One of the box's side panels boasts that the A,J. Reach Co. baseball is the "OFFICIAL BALL OF THE WORLD'S SERIES" while another displays a somewhat redundant proclamation from Barnard: "I CERTIFY THAT THIS BALL IS IDENTICALLY THE SAME AS FURNISHED THE AMERICA LEAGUE OF WHICH I AM PRESIDENT."
