Late 1970s Gene Upshaw Game Worn Pro Bowl Jersey
During his 15-year tenure in the AFL and then the NFL, Gene Upshaw wore only the uniform of the Oakland Raiders. Except, that is, for the six times in the 1970s when he was selected to play in the annual Pro Bowl game. This white, heavy mesh jersey is tagged as a size 52, made by Medalist. All of the markings are screened on the jersey, with blue and red stripes on the sleeves, "AMERICAN" in red above the blue number "63" on the front, "UPSHAW" in red above the number on back, with "63" in blue on both sleeves. Upshaw made as big a name for himself after retirement via his involvement with the NFLPA and the Hall of Famer was honored throughout the league after his passing in 2008.
