Organizer Lefty Grove signed it, as did teammates Lou Gehrig, Al Simmons, Frank Frisch, Mickey Cochrane, Rabbit Maranville, Lefty O'Doul, Thomas Oliver, Harold Ruel, William Kamm, Bruce Cunningham, George Kelly and Ralph Shinners. Black fountain pen autographs average 8 to 9 out of 10, with the coveted Gehrig's rating a 9. The Official National League-stamped Spalding, which Grove gave to his nephew, has a lacquered tan finish, leaving a darker ribbon around the laces.
