Lou Gehrig 1930s Wheaties Advertising Sign

In 1935, Wheaties introduced the “Breakfast of Champions” campaign that would entice endorsements from many famous ballplayers. Lou Gehrig was the pinnacle of players at that time thus, the right player to unveil the Wheaties campaign and be featured on this point-of-purchase in-store cardboard ad display. This diecut measures 13.5x12.5", the sign has had some restoration and is missing the back piece. On the back is a contest to win a Gold Smith football. Has some creasing, some minor chipping of the paper, and light staining. Extremely hard to find, maintain good color and appeal.
