Just two months after his "Iron Man" streak of consecutive games ended at 2,130, Lou Gehrig famously addressed fans at Yankee Stadium, calling himself "the luckiest man on the face of the earth." This was the program for that Fourth-of-July doubleheader vs. the Washington Senators (coincidentally the same opponent Gehrig faced in his final game on April 30).
