Lou Gehrig Never Forgotten Pin-Back Button

Lou Gehrig Never Forgotten Pin-Back Button

Lou Gehrig's life and career were cut short due to a disease that would later bear his name. After retiring in 1939, the Hall of Fame first baseman died two years later. That year, these pins were issued with the words: "NEVER FORGOTTEN LOU GEHRIG." The item is 1.75" in diameter and is in EX condition, minus a few scratches. The "Iron Horse" was a two-time MVP who played in 2,130 consecutive games, a standard that held for more than half a century before Cal Ripken, Jr. surpassed it in 1995.
