Lou Gehrig Studio Photo From The Christy Walsh Estate
Here's a splendid studio photo picturing the "Iron Horse," Lou Gehrig, in suit and bow tie. Looks to be from the early 1930s and comes with a letter from the Christy Walsh family. This once belonged to Christy Walsh, Sr. Gehrig was in the midst of his consecutive games streak when this photo was taken. Dapper as he appears here, it's hard to fathom that within a decade, Gehrig would no longer be with us.
