Martin Dihigo Team Signed Baseball
The only high grade Martin Dihigo team signed baseball known to exist. Circa 1947 Vera Cruz Mexican League team ball sports 20 signatures. On the side panel is the full signature of the great Cuban baseball star Martin Dihigo. "Comando XXXXX Super Extra El Tigre S.A." baseball with actual illustration of a batter on the baseball (nice). Ball has a couple of brown spots but is o/w NRMT. The signatures are overall NRMT with the Dihigo mint. Other sigs include Negro Leaguers Santos Amaro (coach), Mario Ariosa, and A. Correoso of the New York Cubans. Plus, Fernando Arrieta, Jose Cortez, Earl Toborn, Larry Fox, L. Ortega, Pablo Platas, Raul Galata, Jose Villegas, McKinley Mosley, Mario Salazar, Roman Ramos, Guillermo, Alvares, Romo Garcia & Gilberto Guerra. Panel is imprinted "Vera Cruz Base Ball Club". From one of Dihigo's Cuban teammates, there is only two other Dihigo team balls in private hands. The other two are in low-grade condition, this is a beauty. One of the most versatile players of all time, his incredible skills elected him to the Mexican, Cuban, and American Halls of Fame. Endowed with great speed and an exceptional arm, Dihigo was a star performer at every position.
