McGwire/Sosa Signed Ball Collection (5)
Five exquisite horsehides dually signed by the dynamic dinger duo that captivated baseball in '98. It's still hard to fathom that, between them, Big Mac and Slammin' Sammy hit 136 homers, shriveling Maris and Mantle's once-meaty 117 in '61 into table scraps. Of course, what McGwire and Sosa had on their own pregame table is open to speculation, but the tingling vibe of '98 will always be a Homeric tale (no, not Homer Simpson) pitting 2 gods in a personal (and in this case very friendly) war in the Summit that bred peace, love and togetherness all across America. The balls were signed identically, with McGwire on a side panel and Sosa on the sweet spot with an added "#21". Two balls are part of a limited-edition sets, one numbered "1/70" and the other "5/70". Signatures in blue pen and Official Major League Baseballs are NRMT and have the MLB logo sticker on them, and all come with COAs.
