Mickey Mantle Exhibit Card Machine Front

Mickey Mantle Exhibit Card Machine Front

Front display card from a vintage exhibit baseball card vending machine. Among the most valuable of their later cards is a classic Mickey Mantle exhibit that appears as a teaser on this 18 x 12" black cardboard piece, along with those of Gil Hodges & Mickey Vernon. Underneath, are the words "Put One Cent in Slot, Push Slide in-then pull out slowly and receive card." "1-cent" signs appear at the lower left and right. Overall the display piece presents well considering it was most likely on top of a vending machine and susceptible to daily abuse. There is corner wear, and a few light creases, the largest of which is on the right border. Additionally, there are 2 light scuffs in between Mantle and Vernon. On the reverse the crease is a bit more prevalent, as well as a small horizontal tear about 1/2 an inch long. Once the piece is properly framed, the matting will cover nearly all of the condition issues.
