Not only have we never seen a Mantle signature as large and memorable as the one on this superb up close and personal photograph of the Mick, we've also never seen the photo itself. And what a photo it is. The image is so clear that at first blush it seems like a fine oil painting, of a mature Mantle in his Yankee cap and flannel gray road uniform shirt, smiling wearily, his eyes lost in introspection, every line on his face seeming to be put there by years of pain and the pressure of being Mickey Mantle. The signature underneath in blue sharpie is enormous compared with most Mantle markers, stretching over 8 inches wide, with every inch NRMT quality. Photo is 15 x 18" and also NRMT, cut into a white matted border surface under glass in a classy black frame sized to 21 x 26".
