Mickey Mantle’s Get Well Baseball from the 1995 New York Yankees
The team signed baseball that was sent to Mickey Mantle by the New York Yankees team in 1995. After signing this Rawlings OAL (Budig) baseball, several members of the club traveled to the hospital where Mickey Mantle was being treated for his grave illness. Those present at bedside recall how it indeed brought joy to The Mick. 25 perfect blue ink signatures cover the pristine white surface of the ball including Rivera, O’Neill, Mattingly, Polonia & more. In the Mantle family’s book, <i>A Hero All His Life, </i>Merlyn Mantle wrote, “Mick reacted like a kid when he received a baseball in a glass case, autographed by all of the 1995 New York Yankees.” Ball is NRMT.
