Mike Tyson's Amateur Fight Worn Robe

Mike Tyson's Amateur Fight Worn Robe

Purple satin robe with gold trim and terry cloth lining by Everlast is an unmatched worn garment from Iron Mike Tyson, one of only two known to exist. As a professional fighter, Tyson has rarely gone into the ring with more than a towel draped across his massive shoulders. That was not always the case. As an amateur fighting for the Catskill Boxing Club, under the tutelage of the legendary Cus D’Amato, Tyson did wear a boxing robe into a number of his events. Presented here is one of Mike Tyson’s amateur boxing robes. Thigh-length robe is complete with gold sash and built-in hood with zipper and lined with white terry cloth. Embroidered on the reverse in bold scripted gold lettering is “Catskill Boxing Club.” “Everlast” label over the front left pocket. In beautiful condition and comes with LOA from his trainer, Kevin Rooney, plus additional LOA signed by boxing expert, Craig Hamilton.
