Mike Tyson July 7, 1984 Olympic Trials Fight Worn Trunks

Mike Tyson July 7, 1984 Olympic Trials Fight Worn Trunks

He is perhaps one of the most fascinating superstar athletes to be born out of the modern age of boxing, at once dominating with utter distinction and plummeting into a world of exploitation and victimization. Iron Mike wore these on July 7, 1984 at the United States Olympic Box-Offs in Las Vegas to fight Henry Tillman, as well as for other amateur bouts. The fight against Tillman would prove to be Mike Tyson’s elimination from the 1984 Olympic Team. As an afterthought, Tyson did avenge that loss with a first round KO of Tillman as a professional (1990). Silk red white & blue striped trunks with embroidered stars trim and extended waistband are a gorgeous piece of Iron Mike’s legacy. Encased in glass with black frame (31x26”), they come with photo documentation and are authenticated by World Famous Boxing Photographer, Tom Casino. LOA.
