Mullin & Gallo Signed Dinner Programs (6)
This is a collection of six signed dinner programs froml Baseball Writers of New York annual dinners, all with cover illustrations by Willard Mullin and Bill Gallo. Each complete program has been signed by one or more baseball notables, and all of the signatures were obtained by our consignor at the various dinners. First we have a program from the 41st annual dinner held on February 2, 1964 and signed on the front cover by Sandy Koufax and Stan Musial. Next are two copies of the 42nd annual dinner program from January 31, 1965; one copy is signed by Jim Bouton on the front cover, while the other features 15 signatures including Casey Stengel, Jim Bunning, Brooks Robinson, Yogi Berra, Al Kaline, Elston Howard, Johnny Keane, Joe Torre and many others. There is also a program from the 43rd annual dinner held on January 30, 1966 signed by both Casey Stengel and Sandy Koufax on the front cover. Next is a program from the 47th annual dinner held on February 1, 1970 with an illustration of Gil Hodges on the cover to commemorate the New York Mets World Series victory in 1969. This one is signed on the back cover by Mets manager Hodges, along with Hank Aaron, Frank Frisch and Bill Terry. Finally, we have a 51st annual dinner program from the January 27, 1974 event signed on the front cover by Joe DiMaggio, Willie Mays, Pete Rose, Whitey Ford and Mickey Mantle. All of the programs are complete and in excellent condition; all signatures are beautiful.
