This lot includes a signed program from the New York Baseball Writers 37th Annual "Eating and Oratorical Contest" held in the Hotel Astor in New York City on January 31, 1960. The program cover has been signed by over 15 baseball and New York notables, including iconic Hall of Famer Ty Cobb. Other signatures include Walter Alston, Kyle Rote, Branch Rickey, Nellie Fox, Al Lopez, Warren Giles, Ford Frick, Mayor Robert F. Wagner and Governor Nelson Rockefeller. The four-sided program measures 6 1/2 x 10" and is in excellent condition.
