Nancy Davis "Reagan" Collection
Fine collection of 13 Nancy Davis “Reagan” wire photos, circa late 1940’s to late 1950’s, when she and Ronald Reagan were dating, and married in early 1952. Really, this is a mixture of publicity photos and film tie-ins that span the short acting career of one Nancy Davis (Mrs. Ronald Reagan), where we begin with a high-heeled Davis looking into an airplane cockpit dated April 10, 1949, and end with Nancy and Reagan in her second to last movie, “Hellcats of the Navy", in 1957. She famously stated, "My life really began when I married my husband", and a nice highlight here is photo of the happy couple chatting with a friend. Some to most contain on verso vintage pencil notations, International News Service stamps, original Examiner stamps, photographer stamps, and original paper captions. Despite one photo with a thumbnail piece missing, and a couple with typical folds, this group is in good condition.
