Oversized Teddy Roosevelt Photogravure Signed as President
Exceptional 18x11" photogravure is "Copyright 1899 by Geo. B. Rockwood." One of the classic images of Teddy shows this powerful man dapper in very New York suitcoat, stunning watch fob, and trademark monocle. Most importantly, it is signed in the clean white border, "With Regards of Theodore Roosevelt November 24th 1902." This was signed about a year after the assassination of President McKinley and the thrusting of T.R. into the office he mastered. In vintage wood frame in original green paint that gives this piece even further antique dimension. Overall 26x20". Signature is slightly bled but is as dark as they come and o/w Mint.
