Pair of Vintage Peterborough Petes Game Worn Jerseys
Leftwinger Bill Evo's 1974 Petes' jersey was his last, and by the looks of it, his campaign towards a runner-up title for the J. Ross Robertson Cup was fierce. Its dominant maroon color wrecked with thready runs and bullet-sized holes, and a noticeable absence of team-repair, as well as blood stains, pilling, and runs along its white arms makes this one very desirable. Upon its arms is his # 17, faintly maroon and thinly sewn, while the back is emblazoned with a white #17, slightly shredded and obviously scarred. The front still carries a soon to be replaced “TPetes” logo, while this lot’s partner garment, a mostly white Roger Fife (1974-76) jersey, presents the new logo - “Petes” - still intact with one team repair on the “P”. Its white front and back is nicely stained with sweat and grime, boasting some small holes, runs, team repairs, and stains. His “23” has worn well on the arms and back, with only a slice here or there. Collar carries size flag tag with faint print “51% Nylon, 49% Durene Cotton, Men L 44-45,” and “Maska” manufacturer’s tag with only one side re-sewn. A classic pair!
