Previously Unknown Dominican Republic Baseball Cards (239)
Extremely rare group of cards came from the Dominican Republic. There are two groups here. The first are seven extremely rare Dominican cards that have never before been seen. Dating from the late 1960's, they include mostly S.F. Giants players. Crudely made cardboard cards about 2.75x2" including Sandy Koufax, Felipe Alou, Willie Mays (2), Juan Marichal, Phil Niekro and Willie McCovey. Condition is Fair. There are 232 of the second group. Dating from the 1950's, they are of soft paper they are about 2x2.25". An interesting mix of U.S., Negro League & Latin players: Jackie Robinson (2), Martin Dihigo (2), Silvio Garcia (3), Rizzuto (3), Formenthal, Cocaina Garcia (3), Slaughter, Branca, Berra, Feller (2), Reyes (2), Blanco (2), Kiner, Sain, Hubbell (2), Schoendienst (2), Noble (2), Consuegra, Reiser, Pee Wee Reese (2), Reynolds, Henrich (3), Waitkus, Crespo, Boudreau (3), Willard Brown and Gil Hodges. Both sets are blank-backed and impossible to find.
