Rabbit Maranville Baseball Photographs (17)

Rabbit Maranville Baseball Photographs (17)

Rabbit Maranville was one of the best fielders in baseball history. The almost career-long Boston Brave broke into the majors in 1912 and was still kicking around the outfield well into the 1930's. Fantastic lot of (17) photographs tell the story of an already seasoned player in 1928 to the HOFer's death in 1954. Some of the best images come from his recovery from a broken leg in 1934, after which and against all odds, he made it back to baseball for one more season. Photos measure 2x8 to 8x10. Fine condition of the lot ranges from VG (due only to editing marks and trimming) to MT, with most on the better end.
