Rare 1947 Babe Ruth Signed Photograph and Matching Photo Albums
One of the rarest of all Babe Ruth eras that he signed in. This is from 1947 when he went to Florida to recuperate. Unpublished, privately taken 8x10 is signed in green ink, “To Lucille Kitthan From Babe Ruth 5-22-47.” Ink is NRMT, has a couple of tears and creasing but perfect contrast. Two leather scrapbooks feature “Mrs. Babe Ruth” and Claire Ruth signatures, scores of various photos with two of Babe arriving in Florida and even a Queen Mary passenger list and brochure. The Babe did not like to be photographed nor to sign during this period, making this a double rarity.
