Richard Nixon Signed High School Yearbook
Richard Nixon Senior Year 1930 Whittier High School, Whittier, California SIGNED TWICE IN RED PENCIL (including a full Richard Nixon --Dick, with one of the photos.) While the signings look "awkward", we have seen several copies of this book from his classmates with similar types of signings and can verify that these are valid and authentic. Richard Nixon, as was the case with most people who reached the Presidency, was an "all-around" achiever in high school and thus appears throughout this book in words and pictures. This book is in superb condition with no material defects and only the classmates writings (including RN). The cover and binding are excellent and there is no evidence of moisture damage, no cutouts, no torn or missing pages. On the very first page in the Student Section, Richard Nixon appears with a posed individual head photo (where he has signed Richard Nixon with Dick underneath) as General Manager for the class and below he has written a long note. He then appears on the very next page in a group shot of the class Executive Committee. He appears with the usual posed photo in the Senior section and has again signed next to his photo as "Dick Nixon" with his activity list printed. He appears with the same posed head photo as the Features Editor of the school newspaper and then in small group shots as supervising all of the sports teams managers, and with a select group of "Constitutional Orators." Reproduced opposite this last photo is a long prize-winning essay by Nixon titled "America's Progress-It's Dependence Upon the Constitution" The Senior class had around 200 graduates in this Depression-era, pre-WWII book.<b> </b>
