Roger Cote 1st Year Alberta Oilers Jersey (name change to Barry Long)
Original Alberta Oilers WHA jersey passed on to rough and tumble defenseman Barry Long (notorious for once serving 582 penalty minutes in a minor-league season) jumped from the NHL Kings to the WHA’s Edmonton Oilers in 1974, scoring a career-high 20 goals and 60 points in a last-place season. Along the way he wore this classic Oilers jersey later to be distinguished by a guy named Gretzky. White flannel jersey (hey, it gets cold in the Great White North) has orange and blue trim and features the team’s logo stitched onto the front and "2" cross-stitched onto the back in orange on blue tackle twill. "2" is also stitched onto each shoulder in blue on white tackle twill. Original nameplate has been removed and replaced with one reading "Long" in slanted orange and blue letters. Light but clear use.
