Signed 8x10” Photo of Chicago Bears Running Back Brian Piccolo
Few can say they didn’t shed a tear while watching the legendary TV movie, ‘Brian’s Song,’ which chronicled the life and death of Bears running back Brian Piccolo and his friendship with teammate, Hall of Famer Gale Sayers. The promising running back out of Wake Forest died too young of cancer in 1970 at the age of 26. In this signed photo of Piccolo in his familiar Bears No. 41 jersey, he lives on. The black and white photo was boldly signed by this tragic figure in felt tip “To Ed Ball, Best Wishes Brian Piccolo”. Photo is in good condition and has a few creases that do not break the paper. Small section on the bottom white border where the glossy surface is missing. LOA.
