The George Grantham Bain Collection represents the photographic files of one of America's earliest news picture agencies. The photographs Bain produced and gathered for distribution through his news service were worldwide in their coverage, but there was a special emphasis on life in New York City. This collection contains eight Bain photos of the original Polo Grounds. Some are World Series photos, others are from regular season games and one is of a concert. Photos span from 1913 to 1916 and range in size from 4 x 6" to 6-1/2 x 5".
