The Beatles Platinum British CD Awards

The Beatles Platinum British CD Awards

Simply brilliant: two framed Beatles "3 x Platinum" British CD awards originally given to Capitol Records. One holds the red album (1962-1966) and the other displays the blue album (1967-1970). Both were presented to Capitol Records in 1995 to "recognise sales in the United Kingdom of more than 900,000 copies of the Apple" albums. The British Invasion began when two things happened: 1. The Beatles hit US soil, literally, as they walked off the airplane in their mop tops and stepped onto the ground amidst screaming fans. 2. The Ed Sullivan Show had them on TV on February 9, 1964 when they sang, "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and 75% of Americans watched it. You'll want to hold these puppies in your hands, from one of the most influential and ground-breaking bands in American (and British) history. Each in collection measures 16 x 16" framed.
