The Boston Bussing Controversy (9 photos)
In 1974, Boston courts ordered that African American students be bussed across town to desegregate white schools. These photos cover the aftermath of that decision. In this collection we see police officers guarding a school, African American students getting off a bus, one lonely student in an empty classroom and kids playing together.
