"The Fancy" Boxing Book with Extremely Rare Jack Randall Signature (1820's)
Original 1820's copy of "The Fancy" signed on the inside by pugilist Jack Randall on the page preceding his chapter. The book starts at volume 1, #1 (Tom Cribb), goes on to the "Negro" Molineaux and ends with #27 (George Cooper). It has a few missing pages, but photocopies of those pages have been inserted in their place. Randall is credited as the being the inventor of the one-two punch. He died in 1828, so his signature is extremely rare. This is possibly the only known example. Signature is a solid "8/9" on scale of "1-10." The book was rebound at some point in its history and the interior pages have wear consistent with the fact that it is 180 years old. Still, it is overall in Excellent condition.
