"The Godfather" Joe Bonanno Estate Collection with Complete Suit of Clothing

"The Godfather" Joe Bonanno Estate Collection with Complete Suit of Clothing

The man whom the film "The Godfather" was predominantly based on. These personal items of the late Godfather Joe "Bananas" Bonanno prove who the real "Dapper Don" was. Bonanno ran his New York crime "family" for three decades, inventing a "double decker" coffin with a hidden drawer to dispose of bodies without trace. In the '60s he was kidnapped for 19 months by a rival gang. Yet he evaded the Feds until the '90s when he was sent to prison while in retirement in Airzona. He died on May 11, 2002 at age 97. The items include a brown custom suit, silk tie, walking stick (the Don was a baseball fan; top of the stick is whittled into a bat), leather pocket watch, and black shoes, and all are still immaculate. There are COAs for all items from Bonanno's daughter-in-law Rosalie.
