Three truly rare Cuban baseball newspapers, all are for the Cuban Baseball Professional Championships for that year. 1) 1882 El Sport with coverage of Emilio Sambourin, who died during the War for Independence. Roster includes 1860s player Esteban Bellan, the first Cuban to have played against the American Major Leagues. 2) 1889 El Score, the cover acts a schedule for the 1889-90 championship with Almendares, Havana, etc. 3) 1891 El Pitcher, front page shows famous ballplayer and writer Wen Galvez, and the inside relates to the Championship. About 9x14" each.
