Turn of the Century "Prominent Men of the Ring" Handcarved Boxing Cane
Marvelous wood cane is one of the finest pieces of boxing folk art you will ever see. At the top is a scroll that reads, "Prominent Men of the Ring". Carved right into the body of the cane are the detailed bust portraits of the greats of day. Instantly recognizable as they are the images taken from photos we have seen a hundred times. James J. Corbett leads off with John L. Sullivan, Bob Fitzsimmons and Charlie Mitchell below. There are also carved images of boxers in combat and shaking hands. 34", EX.
