Twelve Page "The Choctaw Kid" Manuscript by Whitey Bulger (PSA)
Originating from the "Chip and Whitey Collection" is this 12-page handwritten book by James Whitey Bulger, titled "Joe Carnes aka 'The Choctaw Kid.'" Nicely preserved as contents of a 10.5x8" Mead notebook with some pages removed from the front and signed at the end by Bulger, who numbered each page. This was given to fellow inmate and friend "Chip" who also consigned nearly 30 handwritten letters from Bulger in this auction. Tremendous content relates to Alcatraz inmate Carnes, who was part of the "Battle of Alcatraz" escape attempt from the famed prison. Bulger, a noted outlaw in his own right as part of the organized crime world, finishes his work - all in flowing black ink script - with the phrase, "Gone But Not Forgotten" along with the date, June 26, 2014. Notebook and contents remain in Excellent condition. Comes with PSA LOA.
