Two Ticket Stubs and Scorecard from 1925 Stanley Cup Finals
Terrific hockey history in these two 1925 Stanley Cup ticket stubs (March 27th and 30th) and scorecard. Marking the last time a non-NHL team would win the coveted Cup, as the Victoria Cougars made its Western Canada Hockey League proud by defeating the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL, this lot is one for the ages. Significant to mention is that the March 30, 1925 stub is from the Cup-clinching game as the Cougars claimed the title, winning 6-1. Though the Cougars made it to the finals the following year (losing to the Canadiens), the WCHL folded. These extremely rare stubs are the first we have seen. Tickets are EX-MT, while score card has some folds and edge damage; both are glued on to another page, though should be easy to remove. Internet article included, giving brief description of history.
