Ty Cobb's Wine Chest

When Ty Cobb craved a swig of wine, the "Georgia Peach" headed for this chest that is of the finest quality and features his brass nameplate on the top. Made of leather with brass handles, it measures 26.5"x15"x9" and features gold cloth interior with sections to accommodate 12 bottles. This item did NOT come from the Al Stump collection, but rather was obtained in the midwest from someone who received it as a gift during the 1940s. Comes with LOA. A member of baseball's inaugural Hall of Fame class, Cobb set 90 major league records during his 24 years with the Tigers and the Phillies. He was the game's all-time hits king before Pete Rose eclipsed that mark in 1985.
