Unopened 1940s Harwood & Sons One Dozen Baseballs in Original Box - Old Sporting Goods Store Stock

Unopened 1940s Harwood & Sons One Dozen Baseballs in Original Box - Old Sporting Goods Store Stock

Looking as though they just came off the shelf, this full box of one dozen baseballs is vintage 1940-1950 from H. Harwood and Sons of Natick, Massachusetts. While they were considered old sporting goods stock, all are brand new and pristine. The original dozen box is blank except for the end panel, which bears Harwood's logo. The 12 individual boxes nestled within are equally perfect, each bearing a pearl with original tissue. The Harwood Company has the distinction of being the first factory to produce baseballs, dating back to 1858.
